I want you all to join me on a Telephone Fasting Revival Call at 7PM Eastern. The Dial In number is (605)475-6400 Pin: 1086153# Fasting and prayer is the atomic bomb, or the hydrogen bomb, of all the Christian disciplines. Prayer has great power, but fasting with prayer has infinitely more power. There are biblical accounts, that show that God responds to the faithful who fast because it demonstrates true repentance, humility and contrition. NOTICE ALSO to All the Christian Bible Mobile University students you will join me at 7PM as well on the call. I desire as many as could to join together in fasting and prayer, that God would restore the spirit of love and of a sound mind to the poor deluded rebels in America who forgot God and the spirit of our ancestors who paved the way.If you have not as yet received your free telephone consultation with me for your fasting protocol- call me today at 973-748-0090 to set up your personalized program. There are so many that are feasting while they should be fasting. I know many don't really care but think of Haiti and the people. It could have been you and maybe one day it will. How will God respond to you? Or will you NOW respond to him? this kind comes not but by prayer and fasting. Oh Father God, I repent let me never take anything for granted ever again. Remember the people of Haiti in Christ consciousness. I'll hear you on the call tonight. Namaste

Thank you loving us enough go give us a remedy for missing the mark in having a sound relationship with God. This fast has opened my awareness to my ways that were good but not right in the sight of God. My thoughts are not His thoughts and certainly my ways are not His ways...God's word is the light by which we are to live every aspect of our lives, especially what we eat. Why? Out of my belly shall flow rivers of living water. Thank you Bishop for your compassion towards us.

Turn off the TV.

Watching TV while on a spiritual fast will become increasingly ridiculous. In every commercial you are being tempted with food. Most of all, it destroys your Christ-focus. It is not going to kill you to turn off the TV and radio, and stop buying the newspaper. The world will continue happily along without your presence. Of the many times I have broken a fast, I can usually root it back to allowing myself some form of earthly distraction.

Even a short fast has many different stages. Fasting speeds up emotional states to the point where one moment you will have a sense of closeness to God with a feeling of well-being and the next moment the bottom falls out and you feel empty and cold.

Remember, a tug-of-war is going on in the soul between the flesh that is being inflicted, and the spirit that is being strengthened.

You are the most vulnerable when you’re feeling deprived. That is the time when you must be aware of the temptation to find an escape. Let God be your entertainment. Turn to Him when you feel deprived.

Practice Silence Today

We Cannot Find God in noise and agitation. Nature, trees, flowers and grass grow in silence. You grow in God also in silence. Be still and that, I Am God. Peace

Bishop,

First, let me say how grateful to GOD I am that your mission to Haiti was successful and safe. Secondly, thank you for describing your experience to me and for the heart-stirring message you rendered yesterday in temple service:
You reminded us all of how blessed we are, how we musn't take our innumerable blessings for granted, and how we should reach out to those in need, because those in need are really "us in another form...for I meet no one but me." I love the scripture that your message highlighted, 'He who gives to the poor lends to the LORD and He (the LORD) shall repay it again.'

Thank you also for sharing with us the truth of fasting. Since you have resumed your teachings on this subject (a couple of months ago now), I was reminded of how as a little girl growing up in church, we always fasted corporately once per week and periodically, we had extended fasts and shut-ins. As a result of your teachings, I've been fasting (abstaining from all but water) once weekly. It does take discipline and it is a sacrifice, but a small one when considering the spiritual benefits.

As you have said, "Fasting is the missing link to the power we want to manifest. Prayer takes us halfway there, but fasting completes the job." I have, by no means, reached the pinnacle of my spiritual goals, but thanks to your sage and godly instruction and my conscious decision to apply much of it, I am well on my way!

Peace, blessings, and much love!smilies/kiss.gif
