Does God Want Effort or Results?

This is a very important question that I would like to see your response to. You will be surprised at what the Holy Scriptures say. Tell me your thoughts-Does God want and reward effort or results?

My Dear Sis. Stanya,

So true and so well said. WHERE ARE THE 51 SONS?!

Bless you Bishop!
My thoughts are that results will never be accomplished without effort. Many times we are
instructed to go forward not having a clue on the
details that we would normally like to have in front of us. If we leaned to our own understanding each time we are asked to move forward, we are sure to miss Yahweh! Having enough guts to put forth effort going in whatever direction Spirit is leading us opens up doors that were previously invisible to us. Also, the
directions, purposes, and results of a Spirit
directed effort may be far from what we expected and the plan of Yahweh far exceeds anything that we could have ever imagined. Our expected results
many times are quite small in comparison to Father's expected results (or purposes).

Does God want effort or result?

Bishop I think effort is good but God would like to see result. But then in your question you say you would be suprise what the answer is.then I conclude that God would rather see an effort then nothing at all.

Bishop, My take on that question would be that an effort is a "nice try" and is "good". And as we've even been taught, "good" is the enemy to excellent. So while an effort is a start, it is not the best. The result is what is really important.

Well, creation is still groaning and travailing as it waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. Fifty-one (51)the number of man. In a general sense, it appears man is revealing himself to be just that, mere man and not the supernatural, God man.

Pro 23:23

Buy the truth, and sell [it] not; [also] wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. The word of God says enough.

Many fail in an effort to accomplish goals and as for the Kingdom of God the result of sowing $51 would be the continuation of the Wed. night conference calls.

I concur with you on that point Sis. Stanya. What's up GOD's people?! Where are the 51 givers. I know Wednesday after Wednesday there have been more than 51 TAKERS. We all know the ground we've been harvesting from (ie., Bishop and the WORD of YHWH in him) is gooder than good smilies/smiley.gif. $51 is but a small sacrifice to unlock the treasure that lay hidden within the Prophet's mouth.

By the way gold, platinum, paladium, diamonds... all are valued at much more than $51 per ounce today. Isn't the Word of the Lord far more priceless. Not that we pay for the Word, but what is valuable is worth our investment, if, that is, we expect a return. Alas, good people... when the $tudent$ are ready, the teacher will appear. smilies/wink.gif Be Blessed.

Well, other than reading the comments and varying perspectives, I want to say how much I am going to miss the Wednesday Night Call!! If you have been receiving from the Wednesday night calls, go ahead and sow the $51 seed. You won't be disappointed.

I guess this means I now have extra time to exert myself and FINISH a project. I want to be a finisher and not only a starter.

God wants our efforts results are guaranteed when He is present. Takes effort to believe in the Lord and maintain a consistent relationship with Him which brings results.
It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6
Another thinker, thank you Bishop.

Bishop, as I contemplate the question you have posed, I must answer in this manner:

"...Without faith it is impossible to please him..." (Heb 11:6), but "...faith without works is dead." (James 2:20) Effort or works, then, seem to be classified according to 2 categories:

1. Works that are pleasing to YHWH because they are fruitful and produce results beneficial to the kingdom [see Hebrews chapter 11], and
2. Works that are dead ["repentance from dead works" (Heb 6:1); "purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living GOD" (Heb 9:14)] because they bear no fruit and produce nothing.

"What doth it profit...though a man say he have faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone... show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by thy works. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead." (James 2 :14, 17, 18, 26)

As the body needs the spirit to accomplish anything of value or worth, so do are works need spirit - entheos or enthusiasm - to produce good or godly results.

I close with this passage:
"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth...be zealous therefore, and repent." (Revelation 3:15-16, 19b)

This is my position on the matter, Bishop. I look foward to your teachings and further instruction on the subject.

Hi Bishop,

I contemplated this question and here is my response.

Our Father wants results a.ka. completion. Effort is required to produce results. The exhertion of effort does not ALWAYS lead to thencompletion of anything. When Jesus died on the cross he said, "It is finished." Wouldn't we be up a creek if he said, "I made an effort but I'm not going to finish?" He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. The end is the completion of a matter.

No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kindgom of God. (Luke 9:62) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall ENDURE UNTO THE END, the same shall be saved. (Mark 13:13) We can see in these two scriptures that effort alone is not desired. We must achieve results by utilizing our energy and capacity to exhert the type of effort and degree of effort that produces results.

You are always led to ask us thought provoking questions. So, this is my position. I enjoy hearing everyone's thoughts.

I believe God want to see one's effort this shows the person is trying.

I pretty much agree with Leatha. After all, someone could effortlessly go feed the hungry at the shelter, getting results with no heart. Or he/she could give a ton of effort to do the same, but not getting good results. I think that it takes both.

Bishop, God wants effort that produces results! Matthew 25 beginning with verse 14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
