Write Your Way Out of Depression! It's Healing

You don't have to be a author, writer or a poet but you can write. When depression, stress or some other thing comes and knocks you off your throne you can write it out of your life til you feel right again.
As a person often engaged in the act of writing, I know well the struggle and frustration of attempting to express one’s thoughts through the written word. Yet, as difficult as it can be, writing can also be satisfying, offering an outlet for thoughts and feelings and emotions that can be kept in a journal for private reflection or shared with others. Writing is a remedy for the soul, mind and emotions. It will put you back on center. Writing is so many things: It is storytelling and poetry and history and memories alive on pages. Sometimes, writing is even therapy. Here are just a few things that I have used myself that you may find helpful- such as-What to write about?
Something that you are thinking or worrying about too much
Something that you are dreaming about
Something that you feel is affecting your life in an unhealthy way
Something that you have been avoiding for days, weeks, or years
Please, it does not have to be a perfect or corrected manuscript, that will cause another stress. It just needs to be you and how you feel and see. Write the vision and make it plain. It's healing and refreshing. The angels will read it and assist you.
Remember depression will press you down, while writing will lift you up! Write Today-You'll Heal Faster!

Natasha, most people never think that they could also write someone that has deceased which could also bring a release. A whole nother way of inner healing.

Yes it is Bishop. You just need to be certain you are in the same ship as your mentor. If not, maybe who you call your mentor really isn't your mentor at all.

Bishop, indeed I find writing to be therapeutic, meditative, and liberating. AS Lord Acton said "[One] learns as much by writing as by reading," and Isaac Asimov stated, "I write for the same reason I breathe - because If I didn't, I would die." Writing is that powerful and is a necessary reminder of YHWH's ever abiding presence in our lives - both of what He has done thru and for us and what we desire to do thru and for Him.

Or writing a letter to someone you may not be willing to express your true thoughts/feelings too living or deceased. Writing is a great outlet Bishop. Thanks for the reminder.

Hi Bishop,
I really needed to hear this today. I wrote something and left it on my altar regarding writing this week. I am headed out of town and I prayed and wrote that I would focus on writing in the hotel room. I was unplugging the computer and I had this feeling that I shouldn't unplug it yet. I decided to log onto to your blog and I see your comment about WRITING! Wow. I hear you. I hear God. It doesn't have to be PERFECT Stanya, just get the thoughts out and you can correct or revise later. But for now, get the thoughts out. You truly are the prophet for my life Bishop. Thank you soooo much. I feel so refreshed. (I must be one of the corniest people you know - LOL - Oh well - this is me.)
Have a healthful and wealthful day. You know, I remember when I was an online member and you had us saying that. This inner question came to me a few weeks ago, "Why did you stop saying that Stanya?" I did not have a good answer. Sooo, I plan to have a healthful and wealthful day as well. You have taught us many things but sometimes or many times inconsistency in the application of what we have been taught hinders us or delays our progress. I really appreciate you. See, look, I have to get on the road but here I am WRITING! LOL

Another Thought

Every time I put pen to paper, I pause to focus on a thought to think on those things which are lovely-like being in the now.
Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.
It will keep you from having a heart attack. Writing unlocks the traffic jams in your head.
