Organic gardening is not as difficult as many beginning gardeners believe it is. It is true there is a bit more work and increased attention levels to the details of an organic garden than a regular garden. However, with the proper guidance you will soon discover it's not anywhere near as difficult as you thought it was. These tips will provide you with the basic steps you need to get you started. One year I had so many vegetables I had to give them away and there were still more growing especially the squashes. I was so good to had grow these myself with the help of Mother nature.
Assuming you know little to nothing about organic gardening lets make certain you understand what it is. Quite simply it means you are going to plant your garden without using synthetic fertilizers, for making the plants grow and chemical pesticides to control the bugs.
To really maximize your garden, regardless if its going to be flowers, herbs, veggies or a mish mash of several plants it's best to have a detailed plan. And the best time to formulate your plan is in the fall, right after the fall growing season ends. The reason for this is you will have time to prepare the ground before the spring planting season begins.
Perhaps the most critical thing you must do before anything else is to select the optimum location for your organic garden or for that matter any garden. Your plants will do extremely well if they can receive about six hours of sunlight per day. In almost all cases positioning of your planting area in the southeast part of your ground will give more than adequate amounts of sunshine. Also make sure your ground has easy access to water and the ground has good drainage, to allow water run off and aeration of the ground.
Once the proper location has been determined the next step is preparing the ground where you will be planting. This means it's time for the physical labor part. You are going to till the ground using a yard fork or a tiller, then get on your knees to start pulling weeds, grass and removing the rocks. To make the weed and grass removal successful you should perform the initial removal, then go back a couple of weeks later and remove any weeds and grass which have grown up in the meantime.
Now it’s time for you to actually determine what your selected ground is going to need, in the way of the proper nutrition to help your vegetation grow. You do need to have the soil tested for the proper ph level. If you’re not sure you would do an accurate job of this take a sample of your soil to your local nursery or garden center and they can do this for you.
Once the testing has been completed by the nursery folks they can tell you exactly what kind of natural fertilizers and pest control product you will need. While you are at the nursery or garden center you should ask their advice on the proper plants and vegetables which will grow best in your treated soil.
In conclusion this tip has given you the basic things you need to start your organic gardening project the right way. It has covered the location of the garden, the sunlight exposure, preparation of the ground prior to planting and the proper nutrition your ground will need. Organic gardening is not as complicated as it seems.

There has been so much literature on the news and in the papers about carbohydrates. Some say they are bad, some say they are good, but all they are really doing is confusing us all. What is the truth about carbs and how does it affect the brain?
Have you ever felt sluggish, foggy-headed, confused or irritable? All of these conditions can be attributed to a brain that doesn’t have enough power to work well. Brain power is not just important to do school work or your job, but also to help your body to function as it should. After all, the brain controls much of the functioning of the human body.
So, here are a few facts to digest. The body uses carbohydrates for fuel. The brain needs a lot of fuel. Actually, it needs about twice as much energy as the rest of your body. That energy comes from carbs being used to maintain certain levels of glucose in the blood. It is the glucose that is used by the body as fuel.
So, where do these carbs come from? They come from food sources. You get carbs from whole grains, a variety of vegetables and anything made from grains.
You can get carbs from a candy bar and also from a plate of leafy green vegetables, but they won't necessarily function the same way in the body. Simple carbs are like the sugars found in sweet snacks. These carbs are rapidly absorbed by the body which leads to a spike in your blood sugar.
We’ve all experienced such a spike. For about an hour you feel like the Bionic Man but afterwards, you are moving slower than a turtle. To get more energy you eat more sweets and then the cycle begins again.
When you get your carbs from healthier food sources like green vegetables and whole grains, you are eating complex carbohydrates. This includes your whole grains and fruits and vegetables. These carbohydrates are broken down over time, keeping your glucose levels steady so the body gets a constant supply of energy throughout the day.
The way to break that cycle is by eating the right types of carbohydrates. Oh, yes, there are right and not-so-right types of carbs. One way that you can tell the difference is by the glycemic index. This measures the ability of a carbohydrate to affect the blood sugar. Carbs that are low on the glycemic index are complex carbs. Those that are higher are simple carbs that will cause major shifts in the blood sugar levels and your energy.
Many fad diets advocate high carb or low carb consumption. The fact of the matter is that if you don’t eat enough carbs in your daily diet, your body your body will start using muscle to create glucose and depleting the liver of its glycogen (broken down into glucose).
When the brain is deprived, you may feel lack of co-ordination, dizzy, tired and not in a good mood. Eat your carbohydrates every day, just make sure they are the best kind to keep your brain sharp as cheddar and the body is tiptop shape.

When you are sick, wouldn’t it be nice if your body could just cough up the information needed to cure you? Well, it can and without being poked and prodded for numerous tests. That is the goal of the limbic stress assessment.
The body strives to maintain a level of balance. This is called homeostasis in scientific terms. How do you know that your body is not in balance? That’s an easy one. When we are not balanced we suffer from things like stress, illness, weight gain, mood swings, tiredness and pain. These are all symptoms of a body in crisis.
When your body isn’t well, it works to return to a state of balance, but it can be hard without your help. Let’s say that you have a pain. You will take medications and other methods to alleviate the pain. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, depending on whether you found the root cause and treated it. If the cause was stress, then encountering more stress means the pain will return eventually.
That is where the limbic stress assessment (LSA) comes in. The LSA system uses a little device designed for your hand to help with the testing. It is completely non-invasive so there are no surgical instruments used.
The system was first instituted by Dr. Reinhold Voll. Using a hand cradle, he introduced a low voltage current into the body that was used to read the energy fields in the body. Energy is meant to flow freely throughout the body. When a low energy reading was encountered, it means that there was some sort of blockage going on that was unbalancing the body.
This is a biofeedback system that is conducted through the hand cradle. The cradle is used to test your body’s response to several different types of stressors. Without saying a word, your skin interacts with the computer system to relay messages about physical and emotional problems in the body. They are talking while you relax.
After the computer assesses your body’s information, it sets about finding a solution for the cause of the imbalance. You are participating in your own treatment. The LSA can identify if your imbalances are being caused by stress, foods, environmental changes, people, or even a lack of a vitamin, mineral or hormone production in the body.
The system suggests treatment options for your unique situation that can return your body to a normal healthy state. The system is used to test these treatment options to see which one provides the best result. Only natural options are used with this system.
If you’ve never thought that your body could tell you what was wrong with it, you will be pleasantly surprised. Using the limbic assessment system, you can find relief without invasive means or traditional medicines that may cause side effects. If you would like more information feel free to call 973-748-0090 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 973-748-0090 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

There are many roads to therapeutic treatment. Music therapy is one that uses sounds to help people deal with traumatic events in their lives. Through music, clients can be rehabilitated from physical and emotional ailments.
Music therapists are often licensed psychologists who have done further study in music therapy. They are trained in other therapy techniques to use with their client/patients besides music. Music is one way that they communicate with their client/patients.
Children are often treated with music therapy. Much like art therapy, the reward is in the journey and creation of work, not the end product necessarily.
The old adage used in cartoons that “music calms the savage beast” may not be that far off. When we are dealing with behavioral issues, it can seem like our child has a beast living within them. It has taken over your precious little one and you are at a loss to stop it.
Music is a very powerful tool. Even for someone who is not experiencing behavioral problems, listening to music can evoke a wide range of emotions. Simple rhythms can relax you. Upbeat fast tunes can make you happy and your heart race. Lower notes can inspire fear or danger. In a few simple notes played on various instruments you can unlock what is going on inside of another person.
This is what trained music therapists have been striving to do with disturbed children, with some success. Behavioral issues can be a result of an emotional trauma, physical disability or mental imbalance of some kind. Getting at the heart of the problem is what music therapy is all about.
With music therapy, a child is not simply listening to music but also participating in creating it. Listening is done and responses noted, but there are other components. Children are exposed to live performances, how to create music, and improvisation. Musical selections are also shown with visual images as a way of guiding behavior patterns.
Music seems to work because it is open to interpretation by anyone and everyone. It is a medium that becomes what the person wants it to be. For children, it doesn’t intimidate them. It can help children feel safe enough to talk about their trauma and begin to heal. Therapists can discover underlying problems causing behavioral issues not related to developmental deficiencies.
Only a trained therapist need engage in music therapy. Through examination of their child patient, they can devise a course of treatment using the appropriate musical intervention to bring about the best result. Children can relearn destructive behaviors and live normal lives.
Music therapy is one way that has been found to deal with children suffering from behavioral problems. Through varying levels of musical learning, families and these children are getting the holistic wellness approach they need.

Kinesiology is a form of treatment that uses the body, specifically the muscles, to help determine what is causing pain, discomfort and other internal issues. By analyzing the body’s response to certain stimuli, you can determine where there is a problem and attempt to treat it.
The body is a well-built machine. Each system works in conjunction with every other system to keep the body as a whole in balance. When the body is out of balance, many things go on. You may not be able to handle stress as well and develop illnesses, pains and even emotional problems.
In the same way that the body works to achieve balance, it can also start to break down like a cascade effect. If you can pinpoint the source of the problem and find a suitable treatment, your body will gradually return to a state of homeostasis and you’ll feel more like your old self again.
With kinesiology, the muscles take the lead. They are tested by using light pressure against them. The participant then tries to hold their muscle firmly in place against the pressure. Muscles are associated with organs and also lines of energy that run throughout the body called meridians. Each forms a type of circuit.
A kinesiologist can use the results of these pressure tests to determine if there is a problem in that muscle, its associated organ or in the flow of energy along that circuit. When different muscles are tested, they will feel soft instead of firm when an imbalance is detected. The kinesiologist will talk to the participant to see if they can detect these areas.
Many problems are associated with stressful situations. If the muscle starts out soft and then gets firm when a certain subject is mentioned, that also indicates an imbalance. The kinesiologist can assess what they have learned to develop treatment options for you.
This system relies on the body to tell what is affecting it. Through their training, the practitioner will suggest types of treatment options to return the body to unobstructed energy flow throughout the body. Natural remedies are most used as a way of re-balancing the body.
In order to determine the correct treatment, different methods are tried and the pressure test repeated to see if it was successful. If it is a physical problem, maybe there is a deficiency or a certain vitamin or other nutrient in the body. Introducing that nutrient back into the body can cause the muscle circuit to perform as it should instead of being soft under pressure.
Kinesiology helps the body return to a normal state. This method can help boost the immune system, relieve pain and increase wellbeing. It is non-invasive and involves no massage or oils. You can stay fully clothed and reap the benefits.
Is your body going through some sort of issues right now? Kinesiology can help you to determine what the source of the problem is and how to treat it. Remember it is absolutuely pain-less and non-toxic. Oh I forgot to tell you there is one side affect-WELLNESS!

You always want to put your best foot forward. That means looking your best. But how can you look your best when your skin has only a lackluster appearance? Here are some easy ways to give your skin back its glow.
Did you know that your outside can tell others what is going on inside of you? It’s true. For example, if your hair is falling out, it could be that your body lacks essential vitamins and minerals to build healthy hair - like vitamin E.
Your skin is the largest organ in the body and it’s on the outside of the body. To keep your skin healthy is to keep your vital parts on the inside in a healthy state as well. Start with taking care of your skin.
Here Are Some of the Prophetic Physician's Skin Care Tips
Skin can only shine when it is well nourished. Part of nourishing it is cleaning it well. There are three steps to a beauty regimen: clean, tone and moisturize.
Cleaning involves removing all of the dirt and grime from your face every day. If you use a professional cleanser, be sure it has all-natural products and contains no drying alcohol. Clean your face on the morning and also before bed. You don’t want to sleep through the night with the dirt of the day on your face. A weekly oatmeal mask can remove deep down dirt from pores.
Toners return your skin to balance. You’ll see a reduced pore size. They also refresh your face and remove any traces of dirt the cleanser left behind. You don’t need a toner with an astringent unless you have oily skin. Dry skin can do without it.
Moisturizing rehydrates the skin. Skin that is properly hydrated looks and feels healthier. It is softer to the touch. Avoid thick lotions that can clog pores and cause pimples. Use a light moisturizer that soaks in quickly without harsh chemicals and perfumes.
Eating Your Way to Healthy Skin
Fill your body with good things and it will be good to you. How you eat has a lot to do with your skin.
Drink Alkaline pH water - This point can’t be stressed enough. Your body is composed of mostly water. Each body system needs it to survive. Drink at least eight glasses a day. This cannot be tea, flavored water, and coffee. Avoid sodas because they have too much sugar and calories.
Whole grains - Whole grains contain a lot of fiber. Fiber not only makes you feel full longer, but it also flushes your digestive system of some of the fat from your meal. Many problems with our digestive tract stem from what we are putting into it. We often eat less fiber than we need and experience things like irritable bowel syndrome, constipation and diarrhea.
Fruits and vegetables - Besides being a naturally sweet snack (the fruits), they are also full of good stuff like antioxidants. This includes phenols (fruits), quercetin (apples), capsaicin (peppers), and allicin (onions), to name a few. Antioxidants boost the immune system which will help your skin to act as a better protective barrier against infection.
Look your best with these tips for nourishing the inside as well as the outside. If you want more information sign up for the Love Yourself Club which is absolutely Free! Call 973-748-0090

Our bodies are always in a state of flux, trying to reach a balance. When we are out of balance we are more likely to experience illness, pain and other ailments. One clue to what may be going on inside your body can be found in your hair.
Who would have thought that your hair could tell you anything other than when it’s time to get your roots done? Well, hair can be used to detect deficiencies in the body, mostly mineral and vitamin deficiencies. There is a test called hair mineral analysis and it can tell you almost anything you need to know.
The test is specific for mineral analysis but this includes vitamins too. In the body, minerals and vitamins work closely together. For example, you need vitamin D to help with calcium levels in the body.
How It Works
A strand of hair is obtained from the subject. The hair usually comes from the nape of the neck. They use the first inch or so of hair closest to the scalp. There will be a momentary pinch as you pull the hair out but then it’s gone.
Hair strands can be used to detect conditions that aren’t yet detectable with a blood test. This includes deficiencies of certain nutrients in the body. It takes a significant deficiency to be detected in other ways. By then, your body will have gone through changes (and not for the good) as a result.
Hair can also be used to detect levels of pesticides that may be affecting the environment, and exposure to heavy metals. You might not notice it in your body because the body tries to excrete it - often through the hair, the liver and the bones. Before it gets to dangerous levels, your hair can be used to detect what is going on inside your body.
Minerals are very important in the body. The body can get vitamins and minerals from foods and multivitamins, so it’s important to detect these deficiencies early before too many essential minerals are lost.
What causes mineral deficiencies in the body? Well, one factor is the environment. Exposure to pollutants in the atmosphere and due to lifestyle choices (smoking) can lead to the depletion of certain minerals in the body. As a result, the body functions that those minerals control will experience changes: muscle weakness, tiredness and hormone imbalances.
Mineral deficiencies can also be caused by our diet, medications and stressors in our lives. Many people take supplements without consulting a doctor. However, you won’t know if you are taking the right amount. Even too much can cause problems in the body.
Performing a hair mineral analysis can succeed in finding out what is going on in your body even when other tests are not yet useful. It can lead to early detection and treatment.
